Program 1: "Connected
Worlds"
Featuring composers mainly working within Jazz, but who see a natural
connection between classical music and Jazz.
Program 2: "Back to the roots"
The George Crumb Trio, partner to composers of modern music for
many years, looks back to past centuries, consciuos that there can
never be development without tradition.
Program 3: "Contemporary around
the World"
A program full of dedications. Bauer (Brazil), Jungwirth (Austria),
and Priest (Canada) have dedicated their works to the George Crumb
Trio, while the Trio is dedicating itself to the music of the American
composer who gave them his name.
Program 4: "American Classics after
'45"
Old pieces of the rather young American History of Music. This
music is optimistic, powerful, dynamic and colorful – all
these being qualities particularly important to the George Crumb
Trio.
